Find below, information on daily care, cleaning and maintenance :
-
Wood Care
Most of our furniture pieces are made in solid wood like Ash, Teak and Walnut, which are finished with water based PU. This offers a stronger surface than oiling and is also effective when coloured surfaces are desired. For daily care it is recommended to dust the furniture with a soft cloth wrung in a mild soap-water solution. Always follow the wood grains and always dry with a soft dry cloth immediately after cleaning. Avoid use of abrasive cleaning agents and aggressive cleaning detergents as this will damage the surface of the wood. Avoid placing wooden furniture in direct sunlight, excessive heat or humidity. Always use a coaster under drinks to protect the surface, and never place any hot objects directly on the surface. Do not drag any objects placed on the wood surface.

Upholstery Care
At Murubi, our furniture pieces are made with fabric upholstery which include cotton-PL blend and cotton-linen blend fabrics. To ensure the longevity and beauty of your upholstery, here is a fundamental set of care and maintenance guidelines applicable to any fabric type.
Dust : Dust gradually diminishes the quality of textiles. We recommend regular cleaning and maintenance to maximize the lifespan, using a soft-bristled brush or a white cloth.
Sunlight and Heat : To prevent potential damage from direct sunlight or heat, avoid placing upholstered furniture near windows, radiators, or fireplaces.
Spills and Stains : Address spills promptly by blotting them with paper towels, and for solid spills, carefully lift them and then clean. It's crucial to avoid rubbing the stains to prevent further damage to the material. All our upholstery covers are removable and can be put to wash. We recommend you gently machine wash or hand wash our fabrics with lukewarm water. Air dry only.
Odour : It’s also a good idea to keep your upholstered furniture in a place that’s well ventilated so as to avoid any odour and air borne pollutants like smoke or cooking fumes.

Stone Care
Keep your stone items clean by using a dry cloth. If there's dirt, a cloth with lukewarm water usually does the trick. For stubborn stains, a mild detergent can be helpful, but always wipe it off with a clean, damp cloth afterward, and then dry any remaining water. Avoid abrasive tools, strong chemicals, or sharp objects, as they can harm the surface. Stone is porous, so be cautious with liquids like coffee or wine, as they can cause stains. Quickly wipe off spills or stains with a damp cloth. Some natural marks may be present on stone surfaces, which are genuine characteristics of the material.

Powder-coated steel and Aluminium
To clean and maintain steel and aluminium, simply use a soft cloth dampened with lukewarm water. Afterward, ensure thorough drying with another soft cloth. Avoid the use of abrasive cleaning products, such as steel wool or polish, as these can harm the aluminium’s surface. Never use aggressive or abrasive cleaning detergents, as doing so may lead to irreversible damage
